My neighbor had a birthday party for her son yesterday and I took the oppertunity to practice an idea Ive been brewing to shoot kids parties and events.
I usta be quite a shutterbug in my college days, bu the cost of materials involved caused me to focus elsewhere. (And I was ENGAGED to Phillys 1 Camera shop Lab mannager... IT WAS STILL EXPENSIVE.)
Now that the digital age is appon us and I am trying to plumb new ideas for income that woulndt take me away from being an at home/ quality parent to my child... I am considering buying my own serious equiptment and giving kids events a go.
I could bring jerry (when approproate) and build my prices as my availability and reputation increase.
I dont want to be an ART photographer... though I do some. I dont want to be a portrait photographer... though I catch them. Id call myself a hired gun snapshot photographer in this case.
My friend was THRILLED that Id be there to catch pics because she was busy hosting. THATS THE HOOK!
Id like your critique:
on the photos themselves?
As to the viability of the idea?
If you think my images are worth PAYING for?
(What would you be willing topay? For me to attend for a day? For A disk handed over unedited?
For edited work? ANY why THAT price?)
